Ex-Rovers Home & Abroad Round Up 24/9/11

A summary of some of Sligo Rovers ex-players currently playing elsewhere.

League of Ireland
In the First Division, Conor O’Grady made his comeback after a long injury for Finn Harps coming on in the 66th minute against Salthill Devon. Stephen O’Donnell scored both goals. Kevin Devaney assisted the first goal. Barry O’Mahoney and Mark McGoldrick also started the game with Gary Curran coming off the bench.

Alvin Rouse played the full 90 minutes in goal for Longford Town away to Monaghan United, they lost 3-2 with Paul Whelan an unused substitute for Monaghan United.

In the Premier Division Anto Murphy was named on the St. Patrick’s Athletic bench in their 2-0 win over Dundalk but did not get on.

Yob Son played a full 90 minutes for Galway United in their 3-0 defeat at home to Bohemians. Liam Burns managed only 35mins for Bohs before being replaced.

Gary McCabe, Richard Brush and Chris Turner will all be hoping to be involved tomorrow for Shamrock Rovers in their game against Bray Wanderers.


The League Cup final between Derry City & Cork City took place in Turners Cross with David McDaid playing the first 54 minutes for Derry while Derek O’Brien played 75mins for the opposition before being replaced by former Rovers trialist Vincent Escude-Candau. Rovers loanee Daryl Horgan was cup-tied for Cork and Derry's Owen Morrison did not make the squad.


Northern Ireland
In the First Division, Institute didn’t have a fixture this week but last weekend Stephen Parkhouse converted a penalty to beat Larne 1-0. He has now scored a goal in each of his last three games.

Scotland
In the First Division, Colin Cameron (player/manager) did not put himself in the Cowdenbeath squad for their 2-1 win over Albion Rovers.








In the SJFA East Region Super League, Stephen Manson is playing for Linlithgow Rose.

England
In the Premiership, Seamus Coleman played the first 80 odd minutes in Everton’s 2-0 defeat away to Manchester City.

In the Conference National, James Meredith played a full 90minutes in York City’s 3-0 win over Luton Town.


Joe Kendrick played 90 minutes for Mansfield Town but couldn’t prevent Kidderminster from taking all three points with a 3-0 win.


In the Conference North, Mark Boyd played for Workington on Tuesday night in their 2-0 defeat to Gainsborough Trinity. They beat Vauxhall Motors 1-0 on Saturday but unsure if Boyd played in this game at the moment. 








Sean Doherty was not named in the Colwyn Bay squad in their 1-0 win over Gloucester.

Wales
In the Premier League, Conall Murtagh currently plays for Bala Town but unsure if he has been involved in games since their 4-0 win over Aberystwyth Town on September 3rd.



Australia
A League’s Perth Glory have yet to kick off their season but Adam Hughes will be hoping to be involved when it all starts on October 9th.

Matthew Gordon was last seen with New South Wales Premier League’s Marconi Stallions.
'Faz' Kuduzovic celebrates today's goal for Eintracht Trier

Germany
In Regionalliga West (IV), Fahrudin Kuduzovic played the first 42minutes in SV Eintracht Trier’s 1-0 win over SV 07 Elversberg.



China
In League One Rommy Boco’s Shanghai East Asia lost 2-0 to Tianjin Songjiang but unsure if Boco played.
